How is water absorbed

Water is absorbed by plants through a process called osmosis. Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration. In plants, water is absorbed through the roots and then transported to the leaves and other parts of the plant. The roots contain special cells called root hairs, which are covered with a thin layer of water and allow the plant to absorb water from the soil. Additionally, the plant also uses its stomata, or small openings in the leaves, to take in water vapor from the air.
